A good nights sleep with your new baby

With a new baby things can be a bit hectic and sometimes a little tough. But one thing you really need in that magical time of new baby bliss is sleep. Your tired, and any small amount of sleep is a BIG deal. For me this little but wonderful device called the owlet helped sooooo much for me  to get a good nights sleep, and secondly it’s actually quite cute 🙂

So in the beginning it’s really hard to hear a babies breathing so all throughout the night I’d wake up just to check if my little baby girl was still you know, breathing … yes I was a bit paranoid but I was a first time mom, I didn’t know any better. It was exhausting!! I looked like I’d lived in a cave for years when I wasn’t wearing any makeup. I had to get some sleep, and that’s when we got the owlet.

The owlet goes on your baby’s foot and monitors their O2 levels and heart rate so no randomly waking up to check on baby! Yay!!! There is a dock that you can place near you. If something isn’t quite right, the dock will flash Colors and sound an alarm: red if baby’s O2 levels are low and yellow if there’s a disconnection error. It retails on owlets website at $200 but its worth every penny for a good nights sleep.

For more info you can go to there website and check it out for yourself!

I’m so glad for the good nights sleep this little device has given me and my spouse.  I use it every night!! Plus, As she grows the owlet provides bigger sock sizes, so you can keep monitoring your precious baby as they get a little bigger and bigger everyday.

If you have any questions or comments about the owlet i would be happy to answer them for you!

Dont forget to follow me on both my instagram pages !

On my next post I will be going back to some more baby photography cuteness! stay tuned <3

Heartwarming Valentines Baby

I wanted to do something a little different than the normal number month posts of my baby girl. My husband and I thought it would be a cool idea to celebrate our little ones month to month growth, by taking the holiday of that month or a representation of that time of year and make a small photoshoot of it. As you may have already guessed by the title, this months photo op was in the theme of valentines day <3

I had a blast dressing up my little one!!! With a little bit of mommy distraction and some dollar store goodies, (seriously they have the best cheap stuff for each holiday) I got to make some memories that’ll last forever.

Happy 3 months baby girl!!

Nursery Fit for a Little Princess

The past seven months of my life have been filled by doctor appointments and gaining baby weight…. literally.

The only silver lining to this day to day was when I got to start the babies nursery. I was super excited to have a fun project to do, plus who doesn’t love shopping? All the cute little details from the wall decor, to what will go on the shelves, to which crib to get and what mattress would be the safest and best for your little one; I can’t tell you the amount of research I did on every aspect of the babies nursery. Lets just say I was VERY thorough.

Well all to say me and my husband had a vision for our little princess room and we took it and made it into a reality. The room itself in the beginning was a simple, small office with a sort of “L” shape to it but it was the closest room to our bedroom, so we decided that was that. We started by taking all the room dimensions and my husband used 3D modeling software so that we would be able to make the designs and add aspects like how big the crib was to the exact dimensions we would need to make it all fit into the room. Which was very helpful, especially if your a person that has a hard time imagining the final product!

Here are the 3d renders that he made of the room before hand.

So we had an idea and started to put it into action, we decided on the theme: ” Fairytale princess “with all the fun stuff like unicorns, little castles, chandeliers and of course some Disney Princess artwork. We made this into our DREAM nursery and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!!

Here are Beautiful Pictures of our Little Princess Nursery all done and ready for our daughter. All in time for her arrival in November.

Voila!
